#25/#25-San José State record: 6-0, 6-0 Mountain West. The Spartans kept their undefeated season in tact with a 30-20 win over the University of Nevada in a "home game" played at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nev., on December 11.
The game was the Spartans' first after a two-week absence due to COVID-19 issues with opponents Fresno State for November 21 and Boise State on November 28. San José State has wins in its last six games dating back to the 17-16 victory over Fresno State to conclude the 2019 season.
The Spartans are guaranteed their first winning season since 2012 when the team finished with an 11-2 win-loss record. Since then, the 2013 squad with a 6-6 record was the only San José State team at the .500 mark.
Boise State record: 5-1, 5-0 Mountain West. Most recently, the Broncos defeated Wyoming, 17-9, on December 12.

Weekly Press Conference:

Series history: Boise State leads the series, 14-0, with the November 28, 2020 scheduled game declared a "no contest." Last year, the Broncos overcame a 14-point first-quarter deficit and two other first-half 10-point differences to post a 52-42 win at San Jose State's CEFCU Stadium.
The 2020 game marks the first time in this series San Jose State is ranked in the top-25 in either the Associated Press or Amway Coaches poll and Boise State is not in the top-25.
First conference championship game appearance: Though the NCAA Division I conference championship football game concept was initiated in the 1992 season, San Jose State is making its first appearance in a conference championship game.
The Spartans were members of the Big West Conference in 1992 when the conference championship concept began, but there were not enough members to qualify and host a post-season title game. San Jose State was a Western Athletic Conference member from 1996 through 2012, but did not qualify for any of the three WAC Championship games between the 1996 through 1998 seasons.
Since 2013, the Spartans hold membership in the Mountain West and did not qualify for the conference championship in its first seven seasons in the conference.
