Spartan Offensive Lineman Jack Snyder Nets Top Pro Football Focus Honor

First-team All-Mountain West offensive lineman Jack Snyder of San Jose State University added to his list of playing accolades as the 2020 ProFootballFocus.com Player of the Year in the conference.

The graduate student from Mill Valley, Calif., was the only lineman named one of ProFootballFocus.com's conference Player of the Year among the players named from each of the 10 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) conferences. Three quarterbacks, two running backs, one wide receiver, one linebacker, and two cornerbacks were honored like Synder in their respective conferences.

Snyder was cited as one of the top three left tackles in the FBS for his run blocking and #2 nationally in pass protection.

The fifth-year Spartan finishes the 2020 season on December 31 when the undefeated, 19th-ranked and Mountain West champion San Jose State (7-0) meets Mid-American Conference champion Ball State (6-1) in the Arizona Bowl in Tucson, Ariz. Game time is Noon (MT)/11:00 a.m. (PT) with CBS Sports providing over-the-air national television coverage.
