SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose State women's soccer has made yet another big addition to their 2021 roster with the signing of freshman forward Evan House, a prolific scorer from Visalia, Calif. House joins the Spartans after spending the fall semester at Long Beach State. Spartan head coach Lauren Hanson made the announcement on Wednesday.
"Evan is an incredible soccer talent and athlete who has the ability to make a direct impact on our program," Hanson said. "We are thrilled she has chosen to be a part of our Spartan soccer family! We look forward to helping her develop to be the best she can be here at San Jose State and beyond."
A two-time first team all-league selection at Redwood High School, House will provide an immediate boost to the Spartan offensive attack. As a three-time letter-winner, she netted 77 career goals and dished out 21 assists in her three-year high school career. House was the Central Section Division I leading goal scorer in both her junior and senior seasons, and helped the Rangers to three straight league championships.
In 2018, House was named the West Yosemite League Offensive Player of the Year and one year later she was honored as the WYL MVP. She also played club ball for the Central California Soccer Alliance.
