Spartans Selected Seventh In Preseason Poll

Colorado Springs, Colo. - The Mountain West released its 2021 preseason baseball poll on Thursday and San José State was selected seventh by the conference's coaches. San Diego State was picked to win the league. 

The Aztecs received six of a possible seven first-place votes and a total of 36 points. They edged out Fresno State (one first-place vote and 29 points) and New Mexico and UNLV (23 points) for the top spot.

The Spartans return six of their starters in the field along with 11 pitchers from the 2020 season and add two high-profile transfers in the form of outfielder Max Flower (California) and right-hander Will Tomlinson (Brown).
