COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - San Jose State women's soccer has been selected to finish fifth in a preseason poll voted on by the Mountain West's 12 head coaches. The conference made the announcement on Thursday.
The Spartans are under the helm of Lauren Hanson, the winningest coach in program history, who is entering her seventh season as SJSU's head coach. The team received 74 points in the poll to finish just behind rival Fresno State (78). Boise State and San Diego State were selected as the co-preseason favorites with 106 points each.
San Jose State will kick-off their season on Saturday, March 6, against Fresno State in the first of three-straight home matches for the Spartans.
