SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
»    It's no surprise that San Diego State checks into the series as one of the top teams in the conference. The Aztecs are currently 13-4 overall and 7-3 in league play.

»    SDSU is riding a four-game win streak after their series against New Mexico was canceled. During the stretch, the Aztecs are averaging 93.5 points per contest.

LAST TIME IN SAN DIEGO
»    The Spartans and Aztecs played just one time in 2019-20, but it was a game that saw SJSU earn a lot of respect in the eyes of their doubters. SJSU played solid defense and put themselves in a position to upset the undefeated home team before a last-second 3-pointer lifted the Aztecs to a 59-57 victory.

AGEE HONORED AS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
»    Entering the series against Air Force, San Jose State had not produced a Mountain West Player of the Week honoree in four seasons. That all changed as senior forward Ralph Agee won the honor after leading the Spartans to the two-game sweep over the Falcons with an average of 18.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.

»    In game one vs. the Falcons, Agee finished with a team-leading best 15 points and scored the most important bucket of the night on a putback dunk with 2:17 remaining to give the Spartans the decisive 59-58 advantage.

»    Game two saw Agee play the best game of his SJSU Career as he put down 22 points and pulled down 14 rebounds for the double-double, his first of the season. His 14 rebounds are the most by a Spartan since Christian Anigwe grabbed 14 boards against Oregon State in 2019.

HOW SWEEP IT IS
»    With two wins over Air Force, San Jose State recorded their first series sweep over a conference opponent since 2017 (UNLV, Air Force).

THANKS JOE
»    The Spartans are currently 3-1 under the Biden Administration.

WE'RE GOING STREAKING
»    SJSU is currently riding a three-game win streak dating back to a 83-71 victory over New Mexico on Jan. 23. It is the longest win streak by the Spartans in league play since winning four-straight in 2017.

»    During the stretch, some Spartans have been putting up some big indivdual numbers. Ralph Agee and Trey Smith are averaging 17.7 and 17.3 points, respectively while Sebastian Mendoza is shooting 64.3 percent from 3-point range (9-of-14). Omari Moore is averaging just shy of a double-double with 10.7 points and 8.3 rebounds.

LOOKING BACK AT THE AIR FORCE SERIES
»    The Spartans played solid defense and saw big scoring nights from Ralph Agee and Trey Smith as they took both games over Air Force in the final two games in Phoenix.

»    SJSU's defense held the Falcons in check with a 40.7 percent shooting clip in game one (22-54) and 41 percent clip in game two (25-61). Both percentages are the lowest a conference opponent has shot against the Spartans this season.

»    In game one, the Spartans held the Falcons to an 0-for-4 finish in the final two minutes to hold on for a 59-58 victory.  Ralph Agee had the go-ahead dunk with 2:17 to play that proved to be the game-winner. He tied for the team lead with 15 points.

»    Game two saw the Spartans take control early and cruise to a 75-62 win as Agee and Trey Smith combined for 43 points. Agee finished with a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds while Smith knocked down five triples en route to 21 points. All were career highs.

AGEE PLAYING UP TO THE POTENTIAL
»    Senior Ralph Agee has played great basketball all season long, but in conference play is where the big man has really shined. He is averaging 12.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in league play.

»    Agee is averaging 13.8 points per game in the last 10 games and has scored at least 12 points in 10 of the last 11 contests.
