SAN JOSE, Calif. - San Jose State softball had success at putting runners on the bases, but just couldn't bring many around to score in their first of two games against Santa Clara University this weekend. The Spartans dropped the game by a final of 4-1 on Friday at the Spartan Softball Complex. They will have a chance for revenge against the Broncos tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. in Santa Clara.

- Jillian Figureroa belted a two-out triple that hit off the wall in centerfield in the fifth.
- The Spartans struck out just one time the entire game.
- SJSU's defense committed three errors, including two in the fifth inning that led to a pair of Bronco runs.
