This Week: The Spartans return to action this week with home matches against Nevada on Friday and Saturday at Spartan Gym.
Spartan Fact: Both matches in the 2019 season went five sets with each team winning on their home floor. Neither team has swept a match in the series since 2017 when SJSU won 3-0 in Spartan Gym.

This Week: The Spartans will begin the season on March 6th at home against Fresno State.
Spartan Facts: The Spartans will begin year No. 7 under head coach Lauren Hanson, the program's winningest coach in school history.

Softball (2-4)
This Week: The Spartans hit the road for the Judi Garman Classic in Fullerton. SJSU will play LMU and Cal State Fullerton in the tournament and will then play No. 1 UCLA in Los Angeles before returning to the bay.
Last Week: SJSU picked up the series win over Saint Mary's in Moraga, taking two of three from the Gaels. The Spartans won the first game by a final of 7-4 for the first win of the Tammy Lohmann era.
Spartan Fact: Alyssa Graham is the Mountain West leader in batting average with a .550 clip (11-for-20). She is also tied for third in the conference with three doubles.

Women's Tennis (4-0)
This Week: After three matches last wek, San José State travels to UC Davis for a match Friday afternoon for the only match of the week.
Last Week: The Spartans played two tough matches on Friday and Saturday, winning both 4-3 and the final point coming down to the final singles match of the day.
Spartan Fact: The Spartans are starting the season with a 4-0 record for the second time in three years. In 2019, the team won four in a row including wins at Santa Clara and home against USF.

Track & Field
This Week: The Spartans will open the 2021 campaign in Fresno on Saturday at the Central California Invitational.
Spartan Fact: Saturday's meet will be the program's first in 370 days.

Men's Water Polo (0-4, 0-2 GCC)
This Week:The Spartans have a busy week with a non-conference road match at Santa Clara and the Golden Coast Conference championship at stake in a weekend series against Pepperdine.
Last Week: The Spartans battled back from two three-goal deficits in the first quarter, and had a 10-8 lead in the fourth quarter before losing 11-10 to Santa Clara on February 28.
Spartan Fact: San Jose State and Pepperdine are the only two Golden Coast Conference teams competing for the conference championship. The other four members,Long Beach State, Pacific, UC Irvine, and UC Santa Barbara are not competing in the abbreviated spring season.

Women's Golf
This Week: The Spartans play Monday and Tuesday at the Gunrock Invitational hosted by UC Davis at the Del Paso Country Club. The team will play two rounds on Monday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.,followed by the final round on Tuesday.
Last Week: The Spartans finished second at the Stanford Dual, shooting a 299 in each round. Kajsa Arwefjäll finished third among the 20 individuals, shooting a three-over 145 on the par-71 course.
Spartan Fact: Two Spartans made their debut last week. Jordyn Parr shot 77-78 to finish tied for 13th at 155. Louisa Carlbom shot an 81 in the first round and had a six-shot improvement in the second round with her 75 to finish 16th at 156.

Women's Gymnastics
This Week: The Spartans travel to Colorado for a meet against MPSF foe Air Force. The two teams will compete Friday night at 6 p.m. MT/5 p.m. PT. This is the first of two meetings against each other in March. The teams will also compete on Saturday, March 20, at USAFA.
Last Week: The Spartans competed for the first time in the 2021 season as the team traveled to Stanford. The team scored a 192.625 in the first meet of the season and
Spartan Fact: Four gymnasts competed for the first time as a member of the Spartan team on Saturday - Alexa Solomon who missed the 2020 season due to injury, Jaudai Lopes and Lauren Macpherson who are freshmen, and Mercedez Sanchez who is a graduate transfer from UCLA.

This Week: The Spartan beach volleyball team begins the season on Sunday with a pairs competition at Saint Mary's.
Spartan Fact: This is the first of two competitions for the beach volleyball team in the month of March.
