San Jose, Calif.—For the second consecutive week, San José State women's gymnasts Lauren Macpherson and Emma Milne have been honored by the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation for their performances this past Saturday at Air Force.
Macpherson, from Gilbert, Ariz., is the conference's Freshman of the Week after tying for first on vault with a career-best 9.800. She tied for third on floor with a career-best 9.800. This is her third Freshman of the Week honor and fourth time she was honored by the MPSF this season after being named the Gymnast of the Week on March 15.
Milne, from Barrie, Ontario, Canada, is the Specialist of the Week after tying for first on beam with a season-high 9.875. She added a 9.800 on bars to help the team to a season-high 48.775 on the event. This is her fourth career weekly award.
The Spartans scored a season-best 194.475 in the team's final meet of the COVID-shortened season.
