Logan, Utah—The San José State women's tennis team recorded its 11th win of the season on Saturday to stay undefeated as the Spartan won 4-1 over Boise State in a neutral-site match played in Logan, Utah.
The Spartans won the doubles point, with the #1 and #3 pair victorious. Savannah Sendar and Lara Marco Mas won 6-1, and Rozalina Youseva and Raquel Villan Pereira won 7-6 (2) to clinch the doubles point.
Irena Muradyan started the Spartans winning singles matches. She won 6-4, 7-5 to improve her singles record to 10-0 on the season including 9-0 at #3 singles.
Boise State then picked up a point as Spartan Jovana Babic fell at #6 singles 6-2, 6-4.
Alba Pedrero Galindo then picked up the Spartans third point as she won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, at #1 singles. Villan Pereira then clinched the win for San José State, winning 6-3, 5-7, 6-2, at #5 singles.
Youseva and Marco Mas did not finish their singles matches as the contest was called once the Spartans clinched the match.
The Spartans are now 11-0 on the season and 4-0 in Mountain West matches. The team faces Utah State Sunday morning at 10 a.m. MT/9 a.m. PT.
