Women's Soccer Season Comes To An End In Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. - San Jose State women's soccer wrapped up their abbreviated 2020 spring schedule with a 3-1 loss to Fresno State on Saturday. The Spartans finish the season 2-7-1.

Senior Karlee Pottorff scored the Spartans' lone goal of the afternoon in the 89th minute, squeezing in her shot inside the right post for her first goal of the season. The goal was one of nine shots SJSU put up on the evening. Freshman Bianca Aikens led the way with three shots of her own.

Fresno State attempted 11 shots of their own with seven on-goal and three finding their way to the back of the net. The Bulldogs scored in the 37th, 43rd and 69th minutes as they coasted to the victory.

With the abbreviated season now in the rearview mirror, the Spartans will now look to rest up before beginning preparation for the fall 2021 slate.
