SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The San José State track and field teams were back in action on Saturday in Sacramento and both the men's and women's programs took home first place in the Sacramento State Invitational.
The day was highlighted by multiple school records for the Spartans, including a program-best mark in the women's 4x100. Senior Daryia Greene led the way for the Spartans, setting three school records herself.
"Today was a solid day across the board," said director of track and field Kendra Reimer-Gonzales after the meet. "The team has been trusting the process and have been working hard leading up into this meet. We had lots of personal bests and really showed up ready to compete. It was fun to watch everyone get out there and go for big marks. There was good competition and we rose to the occasion."
Just one more regular season meet remains for SJSU before next month's Mountain West Championships. The teams will be back in action on Saturday, Apr. 24 at the Fresno State Invitational in Clovis, Calif.
