San Francisco, Calif. – Freshman Kai Saterstrom went 3-for-4 at the plate but San José State ultimately fell 7-1 on the road to San Francisco on Tuesday.
Senior Jack Colette tallied the team's one RBI in the defeat. The Spartans (3-5) would finish the day with four hits in total.
Entering the game in the top of the eighth as a pinch hitter, freshman Theo Hardy led off the frame by working a five-pitch walk. Hardy would then come around to score four batters later on Colette's sacrifice fly to left field.

Saterstrom was the only Spartan to tally a multi-hit game on Tuesday.
The Chula Vista, Calif. product now has a pair of multi-hit contests under his belt in his first collegiate season. His hitting streak is now at a season-high three games.
Senior right-hander Will Tomlinson got the start on the mound and went two innings in his first start as a Spartan. Tomlinson struck out a pair of Dons (11-15) while allowing just one earned run and one hit.
Sophomore Corey Sanchez worked 3.2 innings out of the bullpen while senior Josh Zanger and southpaw Ben Polack combined for the final 2.1 frames. Polack notched a strikeout without surrendering a hit or run in his inning on the bump.
San José State returns to conference play now, beginning a stretch of eight straight Mountain West contests on Apr. 16 against UNLV. First pitch for the lid-lifter against the Rebels is set for 6:00 p.m. at Excite Ballpark.
