Spectators Invited Back For Final 2021 Spring Athletics Events

After nearly 15 months of competing without spectators at San José State University home events, three Spartan teams — football, softball and baseball — are excited to welcome fans back to the stands this month.
 
SPARTAN FOOTBALL SPRING SHOWCASE – Saturday, May 8, 4:00 p.m., CEFCU STADIUM           
 
Spectators have a chance to see the 2020 Mountain West Football champions conclude spring practice with the Spartan Football Spring Showcase on Saturday, May 8. 
 
     • Spectator capacity will be capped at 2,228, with each person required to purchase a "pod" of four seats in advance.
     • Beginning, Wednesday, May 5, 6:15 p.m., pod purchase will be available at http://bit.ly/SpringFBShowcase.
     • Cost will be $5.00 per four-seat pod.
     • All purchases are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
     • Pod purchases will not be available at CEFCU Stadium the day of the event.
 
Fans will be physically distanced on the stadium's west side in either the lower or upper deck. Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test will not be required for admission. Temperature checks and a health check will be conducted prior to entry. Any pod purchaser not feeling well or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should plan to stay home. 
 
Individuals purchasing "a pod" can have up to three people who are California residents join to fill the four-person pod capacity. Animals not in a service capacity will not be permitted.

Proof of California residency and facial coverings (e.g., masks) will be required. Artificial noisemakers will not be permitted inside CEFCU Stadium. No concessions will be available for sale. Personal food and non-alcoholic beverages will be permitted inside the stadium.
 
Parking for the Spartan Football Spring Showcase is free and will be in the Park & Ride Lot at 7th and Humboldt Streets across the street from the west entrance to CEFCU Stadium – the only entry point for the day. The Park & Ride Lot will open at 3:00 p.m. and tailgating will not be allowed. CEFCU Stadium's west gates will open at 3:15 p.m.

SOFTBALL - MAY  14 & MAY 15 vs. COLORADO STATE, SPARTAN SOFTBALL COMPLEX
 
Softball wraps its season with a home doubleheader on Friday, May 14, and a single game, Saturday, May 15 against Colorado State at the Spartan Softball Complex on South Campus.     
     
Due to the reduced capacity of the Spartan Softball Complex, spectator seating for the Colorado State series will be limited to San Jose State softball student-athlete complimentary admissions. No tickets will be sold.
 
Game times are 4:00 p.m. for the May 14 doubleheader and 12:00 p.m. for the May 15 series finale.
 
 BASEBALL – MAY 18 vs. USF; MAY 22 & MAY 23 vs. NEW MEXICO, EXCITE BALL PARK
 
Baseball concludes its home schedule at Excite Ballpark, located at the corner of Senter Road and Alma Street, with games on Tuesday, May 18; a doubleheader on Saturday, May 22; and one game on Sunday May 23.  
 
Spectator seating will be limited to San Jose State baseball student-athlete complimentary admissions.
 
Game times are 5:00 p.m. for the May 18 non-conference game vs. USF; 1:00 p.m. for the May 22 doubleheader vs. New Mexico; and 1:00 p.m. for the May 23 home game with the Lobos.
