Jeff Konya Welcomed To Spartan Nation At Introductory Press Conference

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Jeff Konya was formally introduced as San Jose State's 15th Director of Athletics on Monday at a news conference that saw Spartan head coaches and staff welcome the two-time Under-Armour NACDA Division I-AAA Athletics Director of the Year with open arms.

The event was kicked off with opening remarks from San José State Vice President for Strategy and Chief of Staff, Office of the President, Lisa Millora, and President Mary A. Papazian, who officially introduced Konya. Konya then took the podium for the first time in his new role and discussed his vision and expectations for the future of Spartan Athletics before taking questions from members of the campus community and media.
