SAN JOSE, Calif. – Kevin Cavanaugh, Helina Radford and Christine Watson have all been added to the San José State Athletics team while Annalisa Duarte has been promoted to a Beyond Sparta Coordinator, Director of Athletics Jeff Konya announced Wednesday.
Kevin Cavanaugh
- Joining the Spartans as a Facilities and Events Coordinator
- An SJSU graduate, Cavanaugh has previous additional experience with the Spartans as both a Facility and Event Management Intern and Athletic Game Day Assistant
- Most recently, Cavanaugh served as an Event Manager at Stanford
Annalisa Duarte
- Previously an Academic Support Coordinator/SAAC Advisor, Duarte will now be working as a Beyond Sparta Coordinator
- Duarte has worked with the Spartans since 2019, arranging academic support for SJSU student-athletes as they progress towards their degree and life after athletics
- Before arriving in San José, Duarte was an Athletics Operations Specialist at Sonoma State
Helina Radford
- Joining the Spartans as an Assistant Cheer/Dance Coach
- Was also on staff as the school's Assistant Dance Team Director from 2017 to 2019
- Radford is also a cheerleader for the Las Vegas Raiders, holding that position since 2017
Christine Watson
- Joining the football program as an Academic Development Coordinator
- Previously worked for SJSU as an Academic Advisor in the Computer Engineering department
- Received her bachelor's degree in psychology from San José State and a master's of education in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Arizona State University
