SAN JOSE, Calif.—Latahevai Lousi joined an elite club Thursday night in the San José State volleyball team's 3-0 win (25-15, 25-17, 25-21) over San Francisco inside Spartan Gym.
With her eighth kill of the match in the third set, Lousi became the 15th player in San José State volleyball program history to record 1,000 kills in her Spartan career. She ended the match with 11 kills and now has 1,003 career kills. Lousi needs 43 kills to move into 14th place and 61 kills for 13th place.

•Lousi hit .450 for the match and added a dig and a service ace.
•Two others had double-digit kills – Amethyst Harper with 12 and Haylee Nelson with 11.
•Alessia Buffagni recorded a season-best 11 digs.
Match Summary
Set 1 – SJSU jumped out to a 7-2 lead on three consecutive Nelson kills and hit .312 for the set and the 25-14 win.
Set 2 – Harper gave San José State the lead for good at 12-11 with one of her 12 kills and Yazmin Pitpit put down point 25 for the 25-17 victory.
Set 3 – The Spartans fell behind 4-1, but used a 6-0 run to take a 7-4 lead and did not look back in the 25-21 win.
