Bump, Set Spike
• After playing the 2021 spring schedule in front of zero fans at home, the Spartan volleyball team will hear the roar of the crowd this Thursday night as fans will be present at the team's home opener. It will be 649 days between home matches that fans were allowed to attend. Spartan fans last saw the team in action inside Spartan Gym on Saturday, November 23, 2019, when the team hosted Wyoming.
• The countdown is on for Latahevai Lousi to reach the milestone of 1,000 career kills for her playing time at San José State. She begins the week with 983 kills and ranks 16th all-time at San José State. When she reaches this milestone, Lousi will be the 15th player in school history to record 1,000 career kills.
•In the two Spartan wins this season, tough serving has been key as the team recorded double-digit aces in both matches. The team had 12 against Santa Clara and 11 at Portland State. San José State leads the MW and is 28th in the country in total aces with 25.
