Notes of the Week
• The men's water polo team played before sellout crowds at the SRAC pool. All seats in the grandstand are general admission. San José State students with a valid Tower ID card are admitted free of charge.

• San Jose State moved up one spot in the Collegiate Water Polo Association national poll to No. 11 despite the overtime loss to No. 7-Pacific, 12-11, and a 16-7 defeat by #4-Stanford.

• By the end of the weekend, the Spartans' season results will include matches against four top-10 ranked teams at the time of the contest. This week, San Jose State takes on No. 9-UC Davis and #3-California.

• Senior Niels Hofmeijer leads the Golden Coast Conference in sprint wins with six. He is 6-of-8 in opening quarter sprints heading into the second weekend of the season.
