SAN JOSE, Calif. – Rachel Blakeman, RJ Garcia, Nao Kaizaki and David Norris have all been added to the San José State Athletics team, Director of Athletics Jeff Konya announced Wednesday.
Rachel Blakeman
- Will be working as an Athletic Trainer
- Received both her bachelors (Kinesiology: Athletic Training) and masters (Kinesiology: Movement Sciences) degrees from SJSU
- Comes to the Spartans from Mission College, where she spent five years as a Certified Athletic Trainer for the Saints
RJ Garcia
- Joining the Spartans as an Assistant Director of Creative Services
- An SJSU graduate, Garcia has previous additional experience with the Spartans as both the Lead Student Creative Assistant with the football program and Beyond Football organization
- Garcia received his degree in Radio, Television and Film last year
Nao Kaizaki
- Will be working as an Athletic Trainer
- Received his bachelors degree in Athletic Training from SJSU this summer
- Has gained previous experience with the Spartans athletic training facility, serving roles with the football, basketball, volleyball and track & field programs since 2019
David Norris
- Joining the Spartans as a Strength and Conditioning Coach
- Most recently served as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Baylor
- Played Division I football at both UAB and Richmond
