Spartans Third At Stanford Intercollegiate After Two Rounds

STANFORD, Calif.—Natasha Andrea Oon led the Spartans for the second consecutive round and is tied for eighth at three-under par as the San José State women's golf team is third after two rounds of the Stanford Intercollegiate at the par-71 Stanford Golf Course.
 

 
•Oon shot a one-under 70 and made four birdies during her second round, following up her two-under 69 and five birdies made in the first round on Friday.
 
Kajsa Arwefjäll is tied for 18th at even-par 142 after shooting a 71 in each of the first two rounds. For her second round, Arwefjäll made two pars, birdie-double bogey-bogey-2 birdies before finishing the round with 11 consecutive pars.
 
•Antonia Malate is tied for 21st at one-over 143. She made three birdies in each of the first two rounds, shooting a one-under 70 on Friday and a two-over 73 on Saturday.
 
Lucia Lopez Ortega is tied for 32nd at three-over 145 after shooting 73-72 in her first two rounds. She made four bogeys during her second round.
 
Louisa Carlbom is tied for 46th at five-over 147 after shooting a one-over 72 in the second round. She is tied for second in pars made for the tournament with 27.
 
•San José State was second after the first round after shooting a one-under 283 on Friday, and followed that up on Saturday with a one-over 285 to land in third place at even-par 568.
 
•The Spartans are the only non-Pac 12 school in the top-eight of the team standings.
 
•San José State began the tournament ranked in the top-25 in two different polls. The team is 18th in the Golfweek rankings and 21st in the Division I Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll.
 
•Third round action begins Sunday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. The Spartans will start on the first four holes along with Stanford, Oregon and Arizona State.
