Regaining the .500 mark:  A San Jose State win over UNLV would give the Spartans a perch on the .500 win-loss percentage mark for the season. SJSU's record this season includes stops at 1-1, 2-2, and 3-3.

What's the point?: The 12 points scored in the first four quarters in the San Jose State-San Diego State game are the fewest points and the only Football Bowl Subdivision game without a touchdown in regulation time in the 2021 season in games played through October 16.

What are they doing?: San Jose State offensive tackles Jack Snyder and Jaime Navarro each have handled the football this season. Navarro caught a deflected pass in the Western Michigan game for minus-6 yards. Snyder handled a lateral pass in the San Diego State game and was credited with 1 rushing yard.
