SAN JOSE, Calif. – Fresh off a victory over No. 10 Grand Canyon, San José State returns to the pitch this week for road matches against UTRGV and Incarnate Word.
The Spartans are riding a five-match unbeaten streak into their Texas swing. They currently sit in third place on the WAC table with three weeks remaining in the regular season.

San José State upset No. 10 Grand Canyon for a 2-1 victory on Saturday. The Spartans have now earned multiple results over top-20 opponents (0-0 at No. 20 Stanford earlier this season) in the same season for the first time in 21 years (1-1 vs. #13 Stanford, 3-2 at #12 Cal State Fullerton in 2000).
- The victory over the Lopes marked the program's first win over a top-10 opponent in 16 years to the same day (won at No. 2 New Mexico on Oct. 16, 2005).

San José State's three straight shutouts earlier this month marked the program's first set of three consecutive clean sheets since the Spartans earned three straight shutouts from Oct. 25-Nov. 1 on the 2019 campaign (3-0 vs. Utah Valley, 2-0 vs. Air Force, 0-0 at UTRGV).
- SJSU's 4-1-1 start to conference play is its best through six league matches since 2005 (started MPSF action 5-1).

Despite having the nation's toughest travel schedule for conference matches, San José State has seen plenty of success in league road contests as of late. The program has earned a result in seven of their last eight matches away from home against WAC opponents.
