SAN JOSE, Calif. - Freshman midfielder Taylor Phillips scored her third goal of the season to put the Spartans up 1-0 at the half, however San Jose State women's soccer was unable to hold on to the lead against Colorado State as the Rams scored two goals in the final seven minutes to complete the comeback and win 2-1. The Spartans drop to 5-7-0 overall and are 2-2 in Mountain West play after a split weekend against the Rams and Colorado College.

- Phillips' goal was scored in the 35th minute. After Natalia Nava put up a solid chance that was blocked by the Colorado State keeper, the ball perfectly bounced back to a waiting Phillips. The freshman from Clovis, Calif., easily chipped the shot in to back of the net.

- San Jose State controlled the contest for much of the game. The Spartans held Colorado State to just nine shots until the final 15 minutes of the match when the Rams pushed their attack and put up five shots, including the two goals, in the span.
- Karlee Pottorff, Sabrina Weinman and Isabella Shallou-Enes each put up three shots to lead the Spartans.
- After Colorado State tied the game in the 83rd minute, it appeared that the game was destined for overtime, however the Rams got one final corner kick in the 89th minute. After the incoming cross was volleyed around a few times, Colorado State's Kaitlyn Abrams was able to fire off the game-winning shot with just 66 seconds remaining.
- The Spartans finished with a 16-14 advantage on shot attempts.
San Jose State returns to action next weekend with a pair of road games at Boise State (Friday) and Utah State (Sunday).
