UCLA Stops Spartan Win Streak At Three

Los Angeles, Calif.----- No. 3-ranked UCLA scored first and led the entire match in an 18-8 non-conference men's water polo victory over No. 9-ranked San Jose State University.
 
            The Spartans (7-9) saw their season-long three match winning streak come to an end. UCLA (12-1) had one of its better shooting matches of the season connecting on 54.5 percent of its shots. San Jose State converted just 29.6 percent of its shot attempts.
 
            Gal Haimovich led the Spartans in scoring matching his season high of three goals. Neil Arnett added a pair for San Jose State.
 
            UCLA's Chase Dodd and Tommy Gruwell matched Haimovich for game-high scoring honors with three each.
 
            The Spartans conclude their weekend in Los Angeles with a pair of matches on October 3 at LMU. San Jose State takes on Navy at 10:00 a.m. and host LMU at 1:00 p.m. in two more non-conference contests.
