Why Kyra chose San José State
"I chose San José State because of the immediate connection with the coaches and gymnasts. Their inclusive gym culture and genuine care for their athletes, on and off the competition floor, was obvious to me. I have a competitive spirit and have watched SJSU gymnastics elevate their program from the sidelines. I can't wait to be part of the team and contribute to that success. I am excited to look back on the next four years and celebrate what we've accomplished together!"

Coach Bowers on Kyra
"Kyra is a dynamic gymnast, who will be a great addition to our team.  She is a great performer, has nice difficulty, is a good student, and is a good person—everything we are looking for in our recruits.  She is very mature and is such a great fit for us in terms of wanting to help us grow this program.  Kyra comes from a very good club program in Calgary, and we trust she will show up ready to go!"
