SAN JOSE, Calif.—On a day full of celebrations, the Spartan volleyball team used a balanced offensive and defensive attack as San José State won 3-1 over Boise State Saturday afternoon in a Mountain West match inside Spartan Gym.

- Three Spartans recorded double-digit kills in the match, led by Letizia Cammillucci with a career-best 20. Haylee Nelson recorded 13 kills, while Latahevai Lousi added 11 kills
- Double-doubles were on the menu for three San José State players. Cammillucci recorded her second of the season with her 20 kills and 12 digs. Mia Schafer recorded her 11th double-double of the season with 48 assists and 14 digs, while Nelson had 13 kills and 13 digs for her eighth of the season.
- Sarah Smevog led the team with 22 digs, her second-consecutive match with 20+ digs. She also recorded six assists in the win.
- The Spartans welcomed back alums of the program to Spartan Gym Saturday to begin the day.
- The tough Spartan serving was back for the second consecutive match as the team had 13 aces, led by career-bests from Nelson with five and Madeline Boerstra with four.
- Super seniors Ryann Thomison and Lousi were honored after playing their final match inside Spartan Gym. Thomison finished the day with eight kills and three blocks.

- Prior to the match, Nelson was presented with her 1,000th career kills ball, while Smevog received her 1,000th career digs ball.
- With the win, the Spartans improve to 18-8 overall and 12-4 in the MW. The 12 MW wins are the most for San José State since joining the conference in 2013. The Spartans finished the day in second place with Utah State.
San José State finishes the regular season on the road next week with matches at UNLV on Thursday, November 18, and at San Diego State on Saturday, November 20. The team will then play at the MW Championship, November 24-26, in Las Vegas, Nev.
