SAN JOSE, Calif. – Omari Moore had a career-high 28 points including the game-winning dunk to lead San José State (2-3) in a 75-74 win vs. Northern Colorado (3-4) from the Provident Credit Union Event Center Tuesday night to conclude the Abe Lemons Classic.
The Spartans kept it close all night including two alley-oop dunks by Shon Robinson and great sharp-shooting from Trey Smith. With only 24 seconds left and the Spartans with a one point lead, Moore leaped and blocked a lay-up attempt by Daylen Kountz and then seconds later, down one, Moore took it from three quarters length of the court and dunked it to give the Spartans the lead they wouldn't relinquish with 4.2 seconds remaining.
- Moore started 4-of-4 from the field with nine points and ended the first half with 15 of the Spartans 33 points going 6-of-8 from the field including tying a career-high with three three pointers
- Moore ended the game with a career-high 28 points, a career-high in three pointers made (4) and field goals (11) while also adding five assists
- Ibrahima Diallo went a career-high 7-of-8 from the free throw line
- Smith added 10 points going 3-for-5 from deep
- The Spartans shot a season-best 50.9% from the field and 52.9% from three
- Head Coach Tim Miles goes to 2-0 at home
