SAN JOSE, Calif. - The Tim Miles era will get underway inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center this Thursday night, 7 p.m., as San José State hosts Cal State Fullerton in the home opener. The game will be streamed on the Mountain West Network. The Spartans are hosting Racial Equity and Justice Awareness Night with a performance by local K-12 educator Alexander Estrada "ThatfoolAl" at halftime and a poem reading by the talented Justice Wattree before the game around race and racial justice.

Estrada bio
Alex Estrada is a Middle School Social Justice Teacher, Coach and Hip-Hop Artist from San Jose, known by the stage name "Thatfool Al". He writes poetry and music with unpredictable word-play and empowering narratives to inspire change in the community.
Wattree bio
Justise Wattree is a senior Humanities major from Sacramento. He has been doing poetry since he was a child and frequently attends open mics within the city of San Jose. He hopes that the audience understands the significance of solidarity through his poem at the game tomorrow night.
