Forever Spartan Morasch Turns Passion into Legacy

Linda Morasch ('83 Business) credits her San José State University education for a successful career in Bay Area real estate. After graduation, she kept her passion for SJSU burning through football season tickets and staying connected with the Lucas College of Business. Later in life, she turned that passion into a lasting legacy by making an estate gift benefiting scholarships for Spartan student-athletes and business students.

"I was proud of graduating from San José State," said Morasch. "I've always been a big fan of sports, and to help other people be able go to school, you have to put money in for the luxuries. This is a way you can honor your university and fund it at the end of your life. At that point you have the freedom to make a difference and have a legacy of some sort. It would be nice for somebody to say, 'I wonder why she did that, and maybe that is something I might do some day."

  • An estate gift can be effective when coupled with or as an alternative to a cash gift
  • By sharing your legacy through a planned gift, you become part of two distinguished groups, Forever Spartans and the Heritage Society
  • Learn how to make a donation through your estate or Living Trust by sending an email to OneSpartanNation@sjsu.edu or call 408-924-1244
