SAN JOSE, Calif. - After a 10 day break from action, the San José State women's basketball team is prepped and ready for a Battle at the Beach with UC Irvine on Wednesday night. The Spartans will host the neutral site game at the Kaiser Permanente Arena in Santa Cruz, the home of the Santa Cruz Warriors. Tip off is at 6 p.m. and will air live on the Mountain West Network.
The venue change is due to San José State University's Commencement ceremonies being held at the Provident Credit Union Event Center this week.

The History
UC Irvine leads the all-time series 12-18. The two teams last met on November 5, 2019 in SJSU's season opener. The Spartans led by one with 90 seconds remaining, but the Anteaters escaped with the 79-77 edge in a thriller that went down to the wire.
