SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San José State men's basketball team (3-3, 0-0 Mountain West) will take on North Dakota (3-5, 0-0 Summit) on Friday at 7 p.m. inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center. The game will be streamed on the Mountain West Network and heard on the Varsity Network Mobile App. Tickets for the game can be purchased here and kids ages 12 & under will receive a complimentary ticket.
- This will be the first meeting between the two teams since December 8, 1978 and the first home game for the Spartans against the Fighting Hawks since December 1, 1977
- The Spartans beat South Dakota 61-52 on Tuesday and are 3-0 at home this season. The Spartans are looking to go 4-0 at home to start a season for the first time since 2013 and their first four-game winning streak since 2016
- The 52 points from South Dakota was the lowest amount the Spartans have given up since December 3, 2016 when they held Santa Clara to 40 in a 55-40 win
- Omari Moore had a career-high 28 points including the game-winning dunk to lead San José State in a 75-74 win vs. Northern Colorado (11/23). Moore ended the game also with a career-high in three pointers made (4) and field goals (11) while adding five assists
- Moore's game-winning dunk was featured as the No. 3 play on SportsCenter's Top-10 plays
- Tim Miles earned his 400th career win on the sidelines in his first-ever game at San José State in a thrilling 78-76 victory over Cal State Fullerton (11/11) in the season opener and is 3-0 at home
- The Spartans have had the 52nd strongest strength of schedule so far this season and have had the second toughest schedule in the Mountain West
Student-Athletes: The annual student-athlete holiday party will be taking place on Friday. We are encouraging all student-athletes to attend the Men's Basketball game that evening then head to the holiday party after. We are also hosting a toy drive to benefit local children in need at the annual party.
