SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San José State men's basketball team (6-4, 0-0 Mountain West) will host Santa Clara (9-5, 0-0 WCC) on Tuesday at 7 p.m. inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center part of a doubleheader with the Spartans women's basketball team hosting UCSB at 4 p.m. with one ticket good for both games.
The game will be streamed on the Mountain West Network and heard on the Varsity Network Mobile App. Tickets for the game can be purchased here and kids 12 and under will receive a complimentary ticket, plus $2 beers will be available and bring a toy to receive discounted admission.
- The Spartans come off a 90-78 win at Portland for their first true road win in over two years and the first one in the Miles era (story)
- Trey Smith led the charge with a career-high 24 points and a career-high eight 3-pointers which ties a program record
- The 17 made 3-pointers against Portland were a program record and the 20 assists tied a season high
- The Spartans had six players in double figures vs. Portland for the first time overall since 2016 and the Spartans had two players with a double-double (Moore, Anderson) for the first time since 2018
- It was the Spartans fifth win in their last six games
- SJSU's six wins are the most since the 2019-20 season and the most D1 wins for the Spartans since the 2016-17 season
- The Spartans are 5-0 at home for the first time since the 1999-2000 season when they started 6-0 at home
- SJSU is two games over .500 after 10 games for the first time since the 2010-11 team when the Spartans started 7-3
- The Spartans are shooting just over 41 percent from three this season which is good for sixth in the nation and second in the conference and are averaging a Mountain West best 10.1 made 3-pointers a game which is good for 24th in the nation
- SJSU is 2-1 against WCC teams this season and are looking to tie the 2016-17 team with seven non-conference wins
Next Home Game: The Spartans host Nevada at 8 p.m. on December 29 and kids 12 and under get a complimentary ticket, plus $1 hot dogs will be available. Tickets can be purchased here.
New Covid Entry Policy:
- All personnel with a SJSU Tower ID (students, staff and faculty) will only have to show Tower ID and ticket for entry
- Tower ID holders are within the SJSU Covid protocols
- Those without a Tower ID will be required to show proof of vaccination with their card, a photo on their phone or QR code
- Fans that are not vaccinated will be required to show proof of a negative COVID test (Age 3 and up)
- For Antigen tests, negative result of COVID test must be within 24 hours
- For PCR tests, negative result of COVID test must be within 48 hours
- The antigen test can include a take-home test, sold at Walgreens, CVS and other pharmacies

- Fans are required to wear masks indoors at all times unless actively eating or drinking
