Spartans Home Win Streak Snapped Against Santa Clara

SAN JOSE, Calif.
 – Shon Robinson had his first career double-double to lead San José State (6-5) in a 79-57 loss against Santa Clara (10-5) from the Provident Credit Union Event Center for the  Spartans first home loss of the season. 

  • Robinson ended with a career-high 16 points. He also set career-bests with 12 boards and three steals
  • Omari Moore had 13 points as well as four assists and six rebounds
  • Alvaro Cardenas shot 50 percent from the field, tallying seven points
  • Josh O'Garro hit his first 3-pointer
  • SJSU went 2-2 against the WCC this season
  • The Spartans ended their non-conference schedule 6-5 overall, their best non-conference record since they won seven non-conference games in 2016-17 and it's the most Division I non-conference wins since they won seven in the 2011-12 season
  • SJSU had their best home start (5-0) since the 1999-2000 season when they went 6-0 at home
  • The Spartans have won five of their last seven games

The Spartans next game is also their first conference game of the season on Dec. 29 against Nevada at 7 p.m. from the Provident Credit Union Event Center and tickets can be purchased here. Kids 12 and under receive a complimentary ticket and there will be $1 hot dogs.
