SAN JOSE, Calif. - San Jose State women's soccer's return to the pitch will be here before you know it! The Spartans are slated to begin their 2021 season with an exhibition on Friday, August 13th before diving into the regular season slate the following Thursday.
The Spartans will play a total of eight nonconference matches in August and September, an even spilt of four home and four road contests. A tall order awaits SJSU in their season-opener as they will make the short drive to Santa Clara to take on the defending National Champion Broncos on Thursday, August 19th. The Spartans will then host their first two home matches of the season against University of San Francisco (8/26) and UC Santa Barbara (8/29) before hitting the road for Utah for a two-game swing against Southern Utah (9/3) and Utah Valley (9/6). LMU (home), Cal Poly (road) and Pacific (home) round out the nonconference slate.
The Mountain West conference schedule has the Spartans playing 11 matches beginning with a road trip to Air Force on Sept. 24 and culminating with a road trip to Fresno for a rivalry showdown against the Bulldogs on Oct. 29. SJSU will host five conference games, including three-straight against Colorado College (9/26), Wyoming (10/1) and Colorado State (10/3). The Spartans' final two home matches will be against New Mexico (10/14) and San Diego State (10/17).
