• The Spartans open their spring season at the nationally-televised by GOLF Channel 43rd annual Southwestern Invitational at the North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village, Calif.
• San José State's lineup – Caleb Shetler, Carl Corpus, Kristopher Stiles, Nick Watts, and Kotaro Murata. Vijay Srinivasan will play as an individual entry. Team scoring will be the best four scores from the five-person team. All six Spartans are competing for medalist honors.
• Spartans had a solid fall season with a third, two fifths, and a sixth place finish in four tournaments. San Jose State finished the fall ranked 69th in the GolfStat NCAA Division I men's team rankings.
• Southwestern Invitational field includes six teams in the top-25, three of which are in the top-10. Arizona State is No. 3; host Pepperdine, No. 6; and Texas, No. 8. Ten of the 12 teams are in the top-100 including San José State.
