San José State 33rd 195.238 196.550
Air Force 52nd 193.340 194.900

LAST TIME
vs. Air Force - The two teams were the only two MPSF teams who were able to compete during the 2021 COVID-shortened season. The teams competed in two meets at USAFA in March of 2021.

  • The Spartans shattered the team score school record last Sunday afternoon as San José State scored a 196.550 in a dual meet at UC Davis.
  • The team score was one of three records broken or tied at the meet. The beam team broke the school record with a 49.300, breaking the old record of 48.275 set in 2011 and 2018. Emma Milne tied her own school record on beam with a 9.925.
  • In the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation record book, the Spartans now own the balance beam team score record, have the second-highest team score record and highest in the conference since 2015, and Milne is tied for the top beam score.
  • The Spartans are currently tied for 33rd in the national rankings with a 195.238 scoring average. The team started the season tied for ninth, the highest ranking for the program, after scoring a 195.950 in the team's first meet at Denver.
  • The Spartans added two more MPSF honors to the wall this week as Lauren Macpherson and Emma Milne were named the conference's Gymnast and Specialist of the Week, respectively, after their performances against UC Davis this past Sunday afternoon.
