SAN JOSÉ, Calif. – The San José State men and women's track and field teams will travel to Albuquerque for the Don Kirby Elite Invitational on Friday and Saturday, February 11 and 12 at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

- Roman Johnson set a new all-time program best record in the men's 60m indoor at the New Mexico Team Open. Johnson's lifetime best of 6.68 in the 60m preliminary heat is the 38th best time on the NCAA indoor season-best list
- Johnson finished third in the 60m final in a time of 6.84 behind U.S. Olympian Cravon Gillespie and an unattached runner
- Juliette Noyer set a new all-time program best record in the women's 600m indoor on Saturday afternoon.
- Lina Shubert set a PR in the women's high jump (5-07.25) which was good for fourth place
- Micah Hairston finished fifth in the 60mH final in a time of 8.08
- Sydney Bentley ran a 56.83 and finished fifth in 400m
- Kyle Jankans jumped 6-09.50 ft for 5th in the men's high jump
This is the final tune up for the Spartans before traveling to the Mountain West Championships in Albuquerque starting on February 24.
