SAN JOSÉ, Calif. – Cydni Lewis and Ella Ogier led San José State (4-19, 1-11 Mountain West) in an 84-70 loss to Colorado State (15-7, 6-6 Mountain West) inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center on Saturday afternoon. Lewis and Ogier each finished with a team-high 17 points.
The Spartans cut the deficit to three with six minutes left, but the Rams responded with a 14-4 scoring run that proved too much for The Spartans to overcome.

- Lewis was 6-14 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds
- Ogier added four assists and three steals
- Stephanie Torres shot 3-4 with two 3-pointers for 11 points and dished out three assists
- Sidney Richards notched her second double figure scoring performance of the season with 11 points (3-6 FG, 2-2 3PFG, 3-3 FT)
- The Spartans held the Rams to 0 percent (0-5) from 3-point in the first half and 10-percent (2-20) from 3-point on the game
- SJSU shot 41.7 percent to Colorado State's 43.3 percent
- SJSU tallied 16 assists on 25 made field goals
- CSU was 30-31 from the charity stripe
- Mckenna Hofschild scored a game-high 32 points
NEXT HOME GAME: The Spartans host a make-up game with Wyoming on Monday, February 14 inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center and tickets are available for purchase here. The contest was originally scheduled for January 6 and was canceled due to COVID-19 related concerns within the Cowgirls' program.
New COVID Entry Policy:
- All personnel with a SJSU Tower ID (students, staff and faculty) will only have to show Tower ID and ticket for entry
- Tower ID holders are within the SJSU Covid protocols
- Those without a Tower ID will be required to show proof of vaccination with their card, a photo on their phone or QR code
- Fans that are not vaccinated will be required to show proof of a negative COVID test (Age 3 and up)
- For Antigen tests, negative result of COVID test must be within 24 hours
- For PCR tests, negative result of COVID test must be within 48 hours
- The antigen test can include a take-home test, sold at Walgreens, CVS and other pharmacies
Mask Policy:
- Fans are required to wear masks indoors at all times unless actively eating or drinking
