Omari Moore had 22 points and six rebounds to lead San José State (7-18, 0-13 Mountain West) in a 81-72 loss to Nevada (11-13, 5-8 Mountain West) from Lawlor Events Center on Tuesday night in the first game of a home-and-home series.

The Spartans were ahead by four at the half and were down by one with 4:26 left in the second, but the Wolf Pack pulled away late.

  • Tibet Görener went 4-of-11 from three with 14 points
  • Majok Kuath added nine points with seven boards in only his third career game
  • Myron (MJ) Amey, Jr. had eight rebounds with eight points
  • Alvaro Cardenas put in 11 points going 3-of-4 from three
  • SJSU shot 14-of-32 from three and 44.1 percent from the field in the game
  • The Spartans led 43-39 at the half for the first time in Mountain West play this season
  • SJSU shot nine 3-pointers in the first half and were 9-for-18 from deep
  • The Spartans shot 16-for-32 from the field in the first half
  • Nevada was led by Will Baker with 23 points
