COLLEGE STATION, Texas—The San José State women's swimming and diving team posted season-best times in the two relays swam Wednesday night to start the 2022 Mountain West Women's Swimming and Diving Championships at the Rec Center Natatorium on the campus of Texas A&M.

The 200 medley relay team of Kayla Craft-Williams, Zsófia Muzsnay and Reagan Mathieson finished eighth at 1:42.92. Craft-Williams led the team off with a 26.36 in the 50 backstroke.
The 800 freestyle relay team of Muzsnay, Réka Kovács, Ela Freiman and Reagan Mathieson swam a season-best 7:26.19.

Day two begins with prelims at 9 a.m. PT. Races include the 500 free, 200 individual medley, 50 free and 3-meter springboard. Finals on Thursday begin at 4:30 p.m. PT with the 500 freestyle relay and end with the 400 medley relay. All races can be seen on the Mountain West Network, www.themw.com/watch.
