SAN JOSE, Calif. - Omari Moore had his first career triple-double to lead San José State (8-19, 1-14 Mountain West) in a 71-55 win against New Mexico (11-16, 3-10 Mountain West) from Provident Credit Union Event Center Sunday afternoon for their first conference win of the season.
After being tied at 25 at the half, the Spartans outscored the Lobos 46-30 in the second half while shooting 74.1 percent from the field and going 6-for-10 from three.
- Moore ended the day with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for the third program triple-double and first since 2013
- Ibrahima Diallo played his first game since Dec. 6, 2021 and had 14 points with five rebounds and one block in just under 18 minutes on the floor
- Shon Robinson added eight rebounds and two blocks
- Alvaro Cardenas went 2-for-3 from three with 10 points
- Trey Anderson shot 4-for-7 from the field with two 3-pointers and 10 points
- Tibet Görener played the entire game for the first time in his career
- This is the first Mountain West home win for the Spartans in over two years and the seventh home win of the season, which is the most since the 2016-17 season
- New Mexico was led by Jamal Mashburn, Jr. with 17 points
Next Game: The Spartans head to San Diego State to play the Aztecs on Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. on FS1.
