Spartans Change Lineup at Arizona Sunday

TUCSON, Ariz.—Alba Pedrero Galindo won her 13th singles match of the season for the Spartans as San José State played at Pac-12 foe Arizona Sunday afternoon. The Wildcats won the dual 4-1 at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.
 

  • Pedrero Galindo won in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4, playing at number one-singles for the first time this season.
  • Oleksandra Andrieieva fell in three sets at number-two singles but fought back after losing the first set, 6-4, to win 6-3 before dropping the final set 6-3.
  • Arizona started the day by winning the doubles point to take the early 1-0 lead.
  • Jovana Babic and Lara Marco Mas were in their third sets in their respective singles matches before Arizona won the final point of the day.

San José State returns home this weekend for contests against Santa Clara on Friday the 25th and UC Davis on Saturday the 26th. Both days begin at noon at the Spartan Tennis Complex.
