SJSU Legend Lawrence Fan Passes Away

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Longtime San José State media relations Hall of Famer Lawrence Fan passed away late Monday night, announced by Director of Athletics Jeff Konya on Wednesday. Fan spent the last 42 years helping promote SJSU Athletics and thousands of Spartan student-athletes, and for all of his accomplishments he was elected to the CoSIDA Hall of Fame in 2012.
 
"We are in the process of dealing with this sad news in real time," said Konya. "Lawrence was a Hall of Famer in life and work. The entire SJSU community is shocked from this news and we send the Fan family, all of our current and former student-athletes, staff and coaches, as well as his extended media family our condolences."
