SAN JOSE, Calif.—For the second consecutive day, the San Jose State women's tennis team battled all the way to the end but fell just short to UC Davis, 4-3, at the Spartan Tennis Complex Saturday afternoon.
- The Spartans started the day by winning the doubles point. Rozalina Youseva and Irena Muradyan won the first doubles match, 6-4, while Lara Marco Mas and Oleksandra Andrieieva combined to win 6-4 to give SJSU the first point of the day.
- Muradyan won the first singles point in straight sets 6-2, 6-3.
- San Jose State dropped the next three singles matches to trail 3-2.
- The match-deciding point came down to number-six singles. Marco Mas won the first set 6-4 before falling 6-4 and 6-3 to give UCD the win.
- Alba Pedrero Galindo closed out the Spartan scoring with a three-set win, 4-6, 6-1, 7-6 (8).
The Spartans play at San Francisco next Friday, March 4, at 11 a.m.
