SAN JOSE, Calif. – Hunter Dorraugh extended his home run streak to five games with a three-run shot in the eighth to lead San José State (4-3) in a 11-4 loss to Portland (6-0) from Excite Ballpark Saturday afternoon. The Pilots have taken the first two games of the three-game series.
- Dorraugh is second in the country with six home runs
- Charles McAdoo extended his hitting streak to seven games with a double in the eighth
- Dalton Bowling hit a double in his second straight game and extended his RBI streak to four games
- Makana Olaso had his fourth hit in only his second career game
- Robert Hamchuk extended his hitting streak to four games
- Right-handed reliever Tim Scarlett threw 4.0 innings with three strikeouts in relief
- Starting left-handed pitcher Micky Thompson (1-1) took his first loss of the season giving up six runs in 2.1 innings
- Left-handed reliever James Shimashita made his 2022 pitching debut and struck out two in a inning of work
- Starting right-handed pitcher Bret Gillis led the Pilots throwing 6.0 innings and striking out 10
