SAN JOSE, Calif. – Hunter Dorraugh extended his home run streak to six games with a two-run shot in the fifth to lead San José State (5-3) in a 4-3 win over Portland (6-1) from Excite Ballpark Sunday afternoon. The Spartans handed the Pilots their first loss of the season in Sunday's series finale.
- Dorraugh is second in the country with seven home runs
- Robert Hamchuk extended his hitting streak to five games after blasting his second leadoff home run of the season
- Jonathan Clark started the game, tossing three shutout innings while only yielding one hit and no runs
- Dalton Bowling hit a double in his third straight game and scored a run
- Darren Jansen picked up his first win of the season, striking out four and giving up no hits in 3.1 innings of shutout ball
- Brady Hill notched his second save of the season, throwing a shutout ninth
- Nathan Cadena went two for three with an RBI single in the second, driving in Bowling
- Jackson Forbes stole his first base of the season, pinch running for Cadena in the Eighth
