LOGAN, Utah –Trey Smith had 14 points to lead San José State (7-14, 0-9 Mountain West) in a 78-62 loss to Utah State (14-9, 5-5 Mountain West) from the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum Thursday night.
- Omari Moore added 10 points with five rebounds and five assists
- Tibet Görener shot 3-of-7 from deep with nine points
- Alvaro Cardenas hit his first three in Mountain West play and was 2-of-2 from three overall with nine points
- Spartans shot 52% from the field in the first compared to the Aggies 37.1%
- SJSU was 6-of-12 from three for the game and shot 46% from the field
- The Spartans played with only seven players the majority of the game
- Brandon Horvath led the Aggies with 19 points on the night
