LOS ANGELES, Calif.----- Riley Agerbeek and Lucy Miszewski each scored twice for San Jose State University in a 19-6 loss to No. 3 UCLA in the Spartans' Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) women's water polo opener.
Olga Descalzi and Cila David scored the other goals for the Spartans (6-4, 0-1 MPSF) against a UCLA defense that allows 5.3 goals a match this season.
"DRAWN EXCLUSIONS"
• San Jose State trailed 3-2 with 3:13 to go before halftime on Miszewski's first goal, but UCLA pulled away with four unanswered scores before halftime.
• The Bruins (10-0, 2-0 MPSF) converted 54.3 percent of their shots and were 5-of-7 on the power play. The Spartans shot 26.1 percent for the match and were 3-of-10 on the power play.
• San Jose State goalkeeper Elaina Davey faced 35 UCLA shots and was credited with eight saves.
