Former San José State women's golfer and five-time USGA champion Juli Inkster has been named the 2022 Bob Jones Award recipient, the USGA's highest honor that recognizes character, respect and sportsmanship in the game of golf.

Inkster, a San José State Sports Hall of Fame legend, was a three-time first team All-American during her Spartan career. She captured a school-record 17 individual tournament victories and finished third individually at the 1982 NCAA Championships. While at San José State, Inkster won three consecutive U.S. Women's Amateur championships.
